Learn How to Access Captioned Telephone Service
Captioned telephone service, also known as IP CTS, is available from several different providers. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) considers consumer choice an important part of the process, which is why Clear2Connect works to educate people on the different options.
Please note that the FCC requires you to self-certify that you have a hearing loss that necessitates the use of captions to use the phone effectively, and this will be collected by the service provider when you register. A physician, audiologist, or other hearing-health professional may also certify you as having hearing loss that necessitates use of a communication relay service and refer you to a provider.
